Transshipment Site/Port Information
- Transshipment : Embalut mine – A 500-ton per hour belt conveyor is being used to load coal onto pontoons. Tug boats then pull the pontoons toward the teluk Bajau Bay in Samarinda or to the Muara Jawa or Muara Berau open sea area for transhipment. Tandung mayang mine – the port stock pile facility for this mine is located some 37 km from the crushing plant area. Tandung Mayangwill utilize adjacent Indominco^s port loading facility to ship the coal. 7,5 km away from the Embalut mine is trucked and is barged to a vessel in the open sea 135 km away or barged for transhipment at the Bontang. Balikpapan Coal Terminal. Loading Port teluk Bajau and Open Sea (Muara Jawa / Muara Berau / Tranjung Meran)
